Payment Policy

Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. is here to provide patients with the best possible care. In order to do this, it is important that our patients understand our payment policy.

Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. will file a claim with the patient’s insurance company.  Patients are responsible for any co-payment or deductible required by the insurance company.  Co-payment is due at the time of service.  Patients that do not have insurance, payment in full is due at the time services are rendered.

Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. There is a service charge on returned checks.

Regardless of your insurance coverage, you are ultimately responsible for the balance of the account with Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. will make all reasonable effort to secure payment from the patient’s insurance company, but it may become necessary for the patient to remit payment and then attempt to secure reimbursement from the insurance company.

The parent or guardian of any minor child being seen as a patient at Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. is responsible for payment of the account.  If the guardian has questions about payment responsibility, please request to speak with the Office Manager.

Insurance Information

Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. suggests that the patient contact his/her insurance company to ensure asthma and allergy services are covered by his/her policy.  

Asthma & Allergy Associates, Inc. recommends that the patient should always check to see if a provider is “in-network.”  This can be done by contacting his/her insurance company.   “Out-of-network” providers may cost the patient more money compared to an in-network provider.  Please check with your insurance company to ensure you, the patient, receive full benefits by choosing an “in-network” physician.

A prior authorization does not guarantee covered benefits.   Coverage and benefit exclusions are the patient’s responsibility.  To ensure appropriate coverage please contact the insurance company.   Taking steps to understanding benefit coverage ensures full benefits for the patient as well as correct payment for services rendered.
